A virtual tour of the Palace of Glerius in Thessaloniki in late Antiquity
The digital reconstruction of the palace complex of Galerius was completed under the project entitled " Restoration, preservation and enhancement of the Apsidal chamber of the Galerius palace complex in Dimitriou Gounari street in Thessaloniki" funded by National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) 2007-2013.
This is the first attempt at presenting the layout and architectural features of the buildings of the Palace of Galerius in late Antiquity (3rd -7th c. AD), which will be updated and enrichedin the future in accordance with the progress of the archaeological research.
The reconstruction of the buildings produced of the Ephorate of Antiquities, Thessaloniki are based on the scientific documentation and the study of the Galerius palace complex that was carried out during the monument's restoration (1993-2000, 2002-2006, 2010-2013).
