The web application is an initiative of the Thessaloniki Ephorate of Antiquities. Its goal is to present the surviving and excavated buildings of the Galerian Complex, ancient Thessaloniki’s most important monumental building complex, whose erection began in the late 3rd-early 4th century, that is, at the turning-point from the pagan to the Christian world. Users can learn about the excavation of the monument and its leading figures, as well as the documentation and restoration work on the ruins and buildings of the Palace of Galerius preserved in Navarinou Square and on Dimitriou Gounari St. in Thessaloniki. The app is accessible from both fixed and mobile devices and was implemented with the cooperation of the scientific team of the Ephorate of Antiquities, Thessaloniki and the firm Silly rabbit.
