At the archaeological site of the Palace of Galerius in Navarinou Square in Thessaloniki, there are marble architectural members and fragments of architectural members collected during excavations (1962-1996).
The project “Recording the Architectural Members” involved the inventorying, recording, photographing, and drawing documentation as well as the classification and arrangement of the scattered material today found at the archaeological site in Navarinou Square. This scattered material comes from all the historical phases of the palace and includes column bases, columns, column capitals, κιλλίβαντες, cornices, thresholds, pilasters, lintels, door and window frames, mullions and marble revetment slabs.
Following completion of this work, a selection of architectural members is today on display on the premises of the main building complex.
